What would you say is a good formula for determining budgeting for cybersecurity? Is it only based on costs of getting hacked? I’m with a company, with about 50 employees – don’t really think I can make the case to spend 100k a year for an it admin + cybersecurity tools (we aren’t an IT company).

A few commandes have though changed with Win2008 and Exchange 2010.
The New-ExchangeCertificate cmd has to be split in two.

PS : Set-Content -path "C:MyCertRequest.req" -Value $Data

also Import-ExchangeCertificate cmd has to look like this :
Import-ExchangeCertificate -FileData ([Byte[]]$(Get-Content -Path c:certnew_miserez.cer -Encoding byte -ReadCount 0))

Hi Gordon,

That is outstanding. Glad to see KPMG monitoring the online activity of their brand, as well as being proactive on using proper email marketing process, in advance of the official enforcement of CASL.

Your action is good for everyone.

Thank you.

Hi Mike -- really sorry this happened to you. You should not have received the bounceback after you unsubscribed from KPMG's email newsletters -- the unsubscription procss should have been automatic and seamless.

I'm investigating why this occurred and will ensure the system is fixed. Meanwhile I will also ensure your name is removed from our distribution lists.

Thank you so much for highlighting the issue!

The short version. One of our e mail accounts was hacked and the hacker was sending spam. We deleted the account and all is secure. Our web hosting company now says we can not send e mails due to their spam software deemed us bad reputation and they do not know when it will let us send mail. What can we do? We can send email we just can not send anyone else.

Greetings:

Is there any way to change the default setting in Exchange so new distribution lists do not require authentication? We create new distros regularly for our users, and having to uncheck this option every time is inefficient, as 90+% of our distros need to receive mail from outside senders.
