With modus 5.1, Vircom adds a number of new features and improvements: Improved spam and anti-virus outbreak reaction time, performance enhancements offered by 64-bit support, Windows Server 2008 R2 certification, and support for incremental Norman anti-virus definitions.

Improved Performance

Provides improved spam and anti-virus outbreak reaction time through advanced email analysis and distribution as well as enhanced PDF scanning.

Reduced Bandwidth

Includes support for incremental Norman anti-virus definitions. Bandwidth requirements for updates will be reduced by 75%.

Windows Server 2008 R2 Certification

Certified for Windows Server 2008 R2 and includes 64-bit support. Proven stability, security, reliability, availability, and platform compatibility with Windows Server 2008 R2. Complies with Microsoft’s high standards of recommended practices.

Enhanced Security

Supports opportunistic TLS (transport layer security), to ensure that communication with the mail server automatically tries to use TLS encryption.
